more than milestones podcast

hello friend!

I’m here to support them with the right tools.

You already have great instincts.

I’m a licensed pediatric physical therapist with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and years of hands-on clinical experience working with babies and families. My approach blends evidence-based pediatric PT guidance with real-life parenting, so the support you get is both trustworthy and doable.

I help you understand what to expect at each stage of baby motor development and how to support your child through tummy time, rolling, sitting, crawling, and walking with confidence.

Pediatric Physical Therapist & Mom of Three

Hi, I’m Dr. KC Rickerd, PT DPT

You need clarity, confidence, and a simple plan you can trust.

That’s when it became clear: you don’t need more pressure.

Then I experienced the same questions myself. Even with my professional background, I caught myself wondering if I was doing enough or overlooking something along the way.

In my clinical work, I met families who were overwhelmed by conflicting advice, unsure what was truly “normal,” encouraged to just "wait and see," and afraid of missing something important. Most weren’t looking to optimize or rush milestones, they just wanted to know how to best support their baby.

Becoming a mom reinforced what I had already seen for years as a pediatric physical therapist: parents are overloaded with information but lacking clear, trustworthy information.
