Getting From Hands & Knees To Sitting
“My baby is trying SO hard to get into hands and knees from sitting but their leg always gets stuck! Any suggestions?”
ANSWER- Ahh yes! This can be REALLY common when they are close to getting that transition down - and toy placement can be HUGE to help! You may have to play with this a bit depending on where exactly their foot is stuck, BUT first I raise the toys up slightly (like on a couch cushion on the floor). This makes it just a bit easier to clear that bottom leg! Then, I aim for the toys to be on top of the elevated surface but slightly BEHIND and to the side of them. Using that diagonal often helps that last little part where they need to clear their leg happen easier! Once that becomes easy, bringing the toy flat on the floor would be the progression.
Hope that helps!
